Occupational Outlook

Long-term Occupational Outlook is compiled every other year and is a ten-year occupational forecast. The current long-term outlook for Georgia is projected from the year 2020 to 2030 and the Local Workforce Development Areas (LWDAs) are projected from 2020 to 2030. Short-term Occupational Outlooks are compiled every year and are a two-year occupational forecast. The current short-term outlook for Georgia is projected from 2022 to 2024 and short-term projections for Local Workforce Development Areas (LWDAs) are not produced. Due to confidentiality rules, some occupational data are not available.
 
The education code (typical education that most workers need to enter the occupation) is listed next to each occupation. Education codes used are: 1-Doctoral or professional degree; 2-Master's degree; 3-Bachelor's degree; 4-Associate's degree; 5-Postsecondary non-degree award; 6-Some college, no degree; 7-High school diploma or equivalent; and 8- No formal educational credential/Less than high school.
